Music by bama - The Rough Cuts Main List
Jan 7 2008: Listen to Beloved, a song for FIN2, new version recorded tonight MP3 256kps 128kps 64kps or WMA.
Aug 16: Words, an improv I recorded tonight (well, the night between 8/15 and 8/16). Most of the instrumental I had arranged the night before. But tonight I changed it up and started hearing the vocals and words in my head and grabbed my new headphones with the boom mike and recorded what the Muse dropped on me. It's a song for the soul mates finding each other after lifetimes of wandering, finally coming home...to each other's arms. Listen to Words: MP3 256kps, 128kps 64kps. WMA 128kps, 48kps. More songs listed below.
Aug 12: DreamWarrior, this audio file I put together and uploaded tonight (Sat pm/Sun am) was inspired by impressions of the episode while working on the Dreamworker review. And by the upcoming XWP Convention with LL and ROC, Lucy's concert, and my first chance ever to attend either one. My joy could only be expressed with music. Don't worry, I don't sing anywhere on this one. You can take your fingers outta your ears now. ;) Listen to Dream Warrior: MP3 256 kps, 64 kps. WMA 128 kps. 48 kps.
Aug 7: Without A Trace, yet another song for FIN II. I am so
obsessed. (I'm more obsessed with FIN II than I was SAC II and that one
nearly killed me.) My Gabrielle! My poor Gabrielle! Losing her soul mate
that way. D@mn you, Akemi, d@mn you, FIN II! Sniff. I cry so easily
anyway. Listen to Without A Trace.: MP3 256kps,
64kps.
WMA 128kps.

July 31: bamadork. Listen, didja hear that? Was it "As the Dork
turns?" "Dork Hospital?" "Dorks of Our Lives?" "The Bold and Dorky?" No,
it's just another episode of "The Dorkness that is bama." Yes, the
adventure continues in "bamadork, Part Two." There is no redeeming
social value whatsoever in the following recording from 2003. And the
only tie-in with XWP is that I was building another XWP website when I
made it. Listen: MP3 96kps,
WMA 96kps,
20kps.
July 31: Baby, Come Back, another song for any of the times
that they left each other. A short light, breezy little song and there
is absolutely no need to put the lyrics up. It would just be a waste of
bandwidth. ("And the song isn't?" Shut up, Abby Dawg.) MP3 256kps,
128kps,
64kps.
WMA 128kps,
48kps.
July 29: Ashes to Ashes, a song for FIN II. For Gabrielle in
her consuming anger, hurt and grief. Thanks to Mike's

July 4: Sunshine, a song for all the times they left each other and ran off filled with angst and regret. Adapted from the original song by Bill Withers, the first time I've covered someone else's song and actually recorded it. Of course, it's my own version. Yeah, I did it my way. Naturally. ;) MP3 256kps, 128kps, 64kps. WMA 128kps, 48kps.
July 1: Waves, a song for The Debt. This scene from The Debt
has haunted me since the moment I saw it back in 1997. The show itself
gives us Xena's memories of Lao Ma and their days together as the ship
carried her toward Chin. But it always seemed to me that Xena would also
be thinking of what — and who — she was leaving behind. In 1998 I wrote
this song but the recording here is an entirely different arrangement
and vocal, recorded and edited today. MP3 256kps,
128kps,
96kps,
64kps.
WMA 128kps,
48kps.
