Runaway, a song for FIN2

New song tonight: Runaway MP3 256mps, MP3 128mps, WMA 128mps. More Music by bama: The Rough Cuts

Warning: The use of headphones, expensive or otherwise, is not merely suggested but abso-frakkin-lutely necessary when listening to bad bama audio... which can be quite scary *G*

I was inspired to write this by the tragic events of the XWP series finale, Friend In Need 2 -- and after staying up way too late reading The Birds Will Cry, by Tango. I was just headed to bed when I got an email from LadyKate (does the woman ever sleep?!) telling me I should read this short story cuz I would love it. As usual, she was right. Thanks, Lady. And thank you, Tango, for the inspiration. :)

I'm one of the fans who doesn't buy the whole "Happy Gabby" bit, "Oh, Xena's still with her, she's a ghost, but she's right there, you can see her on the ship, see?" No, I don't see. I don't see how Gabby could ever be happy again. I imagine that Gabrielle would walk through the burning gates of Hell to be with her soul mate again. I imagine that she would do whatever it takes to be with her warrior again. And one way to do that would be to die her own warrior's death.

"Can't make me stay here. I'm gonna runaway, can't make me stay here."

(Recorded this one in one take, can you believe it? Well, yeah, you probably will when you hear it. And don't you go thinkin' I played the instruments. I got my first really serious music composition loop CD today for acoustic guitar. Had it sent by second day air, cuz I felt a song comin' on, donchaknow. *G* Then I sat down and played a couple of the files on it tonight, then I heard this song in my head. So I cranked up my audio app and sang what I heard in my head and realized, Hey, this might work! So I added some drums and poof! A song was born! *G*)
