Welcome to the site and thanks for joining me as we explore the Xenaverse. The blog is home to my various projects, such as rambling, well, ramblings (aka Midnight Musings), poems and music by me and inspired by XWP, XWP In Review, The Astrology Of XWP Project, fan fic and more. The Road Trip and the Meet Ups sparked a new project and I'll tell you more about that later. And, ya know, soon I need to get the poem-lyrics snug as a bug in the rug and happily ensconced on their shiny new pages; and then I still have to try to import the old comments. Ugh, work! And me, so l-a-z-y! Well, thank you for visiting. I hope you'll enjoy your stay and that you'll come back often! Battle on! bama :)
If astrology really was all about predicting when you were going to get that promotion at work or meet Mr. or Ms. Right, I don’t imagine it would ever have caught my attention. I certainly wouldn’t have studied it and contemplated as many charts as I have all these years if there wasn’t any more to it than what those generally insipid newspaper and magazine horoscope columns spew out everyday. Those sun sign “predictions” fit the individual about as well as all those “one size fits all” clothes do. Read more »
Tonight I’m writing another post for The Astrology Of The Xenaverse Project. I think I’ll talk about the Zodiac Signs and theFour Elements, since I had begun to talk about the Elements on Moonlight’s thread. Feel free to start a discussion here, ask questions, make comments, any time. Some Xenites have asked me to pass along to them any book recommendations or websites Read more »
Okay, these are reasonable enough questions. What the frak is astrology? And who the frak needs it? The short answer: astrology is a language of symbols, an art and a science. And nobody needs it.
That’s right, you heard me, er, read me. Nobody needs astrology. You could get along perfectly well for the rest of your life without ever bothering to learn a single thing about the science of light, as it’s called in the land of the Vedas. Of course, we don’t need cars or MP3 players or guitars or telescopes or DVD’s or laptops or cameras or a million other things that we’ve come to take for granted and from which we derive much pleasure. Sure, we could give ‘em up. But where’s the fun in that? We also don’t need works of art. We don’t need books or paintings or symphonies or stories… Read more »
I wrote this poem tonight while I mused upon the fact that nearly everyone I know has been watching the Olympics. Except me. I won’t say any more by way of introduction or explanation. I believe the poem speaks for itself.
an historic ceremonial opening
I did not see the historic ceremonial opening.

I can’t believe it. I watched the last 20 minutes of the strangest car chase in Houston today, then I was glued to the news coverage of the situation between Russia and Georgia. After I decided I needed a break, I started flipping through the satellite channel guide and saw the X-Files listed. The episode was nearly over and I thought to myself, What are the chancesRead more »
I’ve opened a new section tonight, the Multimedia Page. I may make that page a Table of Contents and move the various videos to their own pages later. I could’ve done it tonight, er, this morning, but to tell you the truth, I started watching some of Renee’s convention performances and I completely lost track of time. I couldn’t stop watching. I didn’t want to break the spell she had me under. Read more »
A lucky interviewer (not me, dang it!) got to speak to Renee recently, who is producing and starring in a short film. If you’d “like to be an extra and live in the Los Angeles area, send your photo and contact info to Renee at ROC Productions, 1601 North Sepulveda Blvd. #612, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266.” Read the rest of the post and get your ROC fix at afterellen.com.
