I quit my frakkin’ goram miserable stinkin’ J-O-B

March 28, 2008 (7:37 am) | Midnight Musings, Personal

Well, 2008 is certainly off to a bang! In January I bought my first ever brand new car (and she’s a beaut, lemme tell ya!). In February I got to see a dear friend I’ve been longing to see. And March has been every bit as momentous. Just last Sunday I had a hard drive crash; Wednesday, I quit my miserable, stinkin’ job which I’d hated for a year and a half; and Friday, I bought my first ever notebook computer! And two days later I bought my first ever wireless router and set up my very first very own network at home.

My latest new toy Whew! How’s that for a year of earth-shaking importance! And that’s the just the first three months! Oy! Heh. So I’m back to blogging and writing and doing photography and I can do all of this now whether I’m at home or out and about town or hittin’ the highway for a long overdue road trip, of which I have at least three in the planning stages at this very moment. I’m finally going to visit my sister down on the coast (that’d be the Gulf Coast) and see that fancy shmancy new house she and her hubby built last year. And I’m taking Abby Dawg with me so she can play with Zeke (not Zeke the Bad, her boyfriend up here in Alabama, but Zeke the HUGE Lab, her cousin down there in Florida). I’m going to take a photography road trip and go exploring somewhere, also with Abby. And I’m going to make a trip to Atlanta with some friends, which we’ve been talking about for a year. I wanna go to some bookstores, the kind we don’t have around here any more. I need my fix of metaphysical books and quick! :D

Oh, and what am I gonna do now that I’ve quit my frakkin’ goram miserable stinkin’ job? I have no idea. Well, I know I’m not going to let the creative part of me languish for lack of attention again. That way lies madness and soul death. Nevermore, quoth the Raven. Nevermore!

Well, Abby Dawg and I are off to beddy-bye now. I’ll post more later. And add more pics as I’m able, too. I can’t tell ya how good I feel. Even if the lung problems haven’t let go of me and the allergies are now kickin’ in, I still feel great cuz I kicked over the traces and I threw off my chains! Woo hoo! Freedom!
