Requiem is a poem for FIN2. As I've mentioned before, I am haunted by the look in Gabrielle's eyes near the end of FIN2 as Xena fades from view, from her life and into their last shared sunset. It still breaks my heart to see how heartbroken my brave little warrior is in this picture. You can read more about my thoughts and feelings on that subject at the main site.

One last time your heart
breaks against mine;
one last time my tears
spill across your face...
One last longing look,
one last shared sunset,
one last warm embrace...
Then you'll leave me and --

vanish without a trace.
