The Moment I Saw Her, a poem and song for SOTP

"Love enters the noble heart through the eyes." -- Gerhard Hauptman. Quoted on numerous occasions by Joseph Campbell, author of Hero with a Thousand Faces.
Joseph Campbell was fond of quoting Gerhard Hauptman as saying: "Love enters the noble heart through the eyes." I like to think that we saw Love entering two noble hearts at a certain moment during Sins Of The Past. And I wrote a poem to honor the moment, the noble hearts and the Love which bonded them "closer than blood ever could."
The Moment I Saw Her...
a poem-song for Sins of the Past
The moment I saw her,
in that moment I felt
flames rising inside me,
fire burning inside her,
saw the blue of her eyes,
saw them flash and I knew
that I had to be with her,
had to leave all and go to her,
knew my life had been changed now forever,
knew we were meant to be together,
heard her soul calling to my soul,
filling my mind and my heart
with but one desire:
to be drenched in her wildness,
consumed by her fire;
knew our lives,
once dead and so empty,
were reborn now,
transformed utterly;
knew Life had brought us near,
Fate had brought us here,
and all that was left to me
was to reach out
and take hold
of my Destiny.
